Yoz! Wanting to blog ytd but could not win the Zzzzz monster XD so here am I now to talk about ytd stuff and Sport Carnival today!!
To begin with, let's talk about ytd! Woot, Meet-The-Parents session! I went back home from school at 5plus. After a less than half an hr rest, i went back to school with my father for the Meet-The-Parents session. Upon reaching there, we were served with light refreshment and drinks. Then we went up to my CT teacher to greet her. I introduced my father to Miss Tan and my father said, : "Hi Miss Tan, I am Mr Tan." It sounded quite rhyme and Miss Tan was like giggling at his statement la.
Then after receiving the booklet containing on the info about promotionl criteria, dates as well as the contact no. of all the subject teachers, I was talking to my father about all my subject teachers. I introduced to him my Chinese teacher, Mrs Goh Mui Lien and even told him about her telling us that she went for some facial bcoz of Meet-The-Parents session today; my maths teacher, Mrs Tan and Mr Paul Tan too!
Firstly, we went up to Mrs Goh. Mrs Goh was like so happy. Hahaha. She was like telling my father that i am doing fine and good in class. All the positive comments on me!( Although i thought it shouldn't be)XD
Then, we headed on to Mrs Tan. Gosh, my father rushed up to her and talked about me. Mrs Tan didn't catch a thing at first, probably thinking that y suddenly a parent popped up in front of her? Hahaha. Then i told her that i was from 0820 and she roughly rmbed ( although I had a feeling that she still dun really noe me) XD I was like smiling and giggling at her blur's expression. Then after that i felt quite embarassed la. So i immediately controlled my giggle =D.
NEXT WAS THE BEST PART. I was talking about Mr Tan to my father, said that i was afraid of his GP lesson and him himself. My father was like very eagered to meet him la. He was like asking me where he was, said he wanted to talk to him so I juz pointed Mr Tan to him loh. So as how wei lao shi walked past me and we were talking about the CCS stuff, my father disappeared suddenly. Oh my, the next thing I saw was that he was talking to Mr Tan! LOLS. I was like "huh?" so fast.. so I quickly ran up to them and introduced Mr Tan to my father. My father was like saying, :" Ming Hui..my daughter. My daughter english not so good. Always put unnecessary words. U muz hlp me to drill her hard." Then Mr Tan replied, with a determined and shocked face( coz my father juz suddenly popped out in front of him XD), " I WILL I WILL". Ahhh.. lols.. i think i will be having a very hiong and challenging time during my consecutive GP lessons le! LOLS.=) Then my father immediately took Mr Tan's hand and shook it while thanking him. Mr Tan was like totally stunned and surprised! XD
The Meet-The Parents-Session talk was rather informative and funny. Hahaha, we were first addressed by Mr Quek, our principal. He was a very humorous person indeed! He made the talk less of the "serious" talk and even joked with the parents too.
1) When Mr Quek talked about our jc getting the clean tuckshop award, given by the MOE, he
said, " We got this award bcoz the school is very concern about students' health. Less
oil, less salt and less sugar. So parents, u may complained that our food may not taste as nice
down here." LOLS. The parents were all laughing.
2) During the Q&A session, there was no parent asking any qns at first. So Mr Quek was like
asking, " Is there any brave parent around? U can talk anything under the sky." LOLS, the
students were laughing at what he was talking XD.
3) When the parent was enquiring about the Project Work, one of the parents asked Mr Quek,
"Is there any black sheep around?" He replied by saying, " There is no black sheep around. All the NYJCians are good guys, I am the only bad guy around." LOLS!! The parents bursted into laughter again! Hahahs.. It's really funny.
A casual and nice talk indeed. Not as bored as it seems to be. During the talk, they were talking about how's NYJC is doing, what the school expect, PW followed by all HODs talking to the parents. Last but not least was the Q&A session, when the parents asked about PW, scholarship programme, the school councilling measures as well as the night study programme.
So yup, after everything, my father and I headed back home. Took 156 home. Inside the 156 bus, I looked here and there and someone caught my attention. That person looked familiar. Ahhh I was surprised that how wei lao shi was on the same bus as me! XD A pure coincidence! So yeah, I did said hi to him on the bus and was wondering where he lives. (Oops so kpoh me). So when reaching another bus stop, he stood up and my father stood up at the same time too. LOLS. We did alight at the same bus stop! He was asking," ehh, ni3 ye2 zai4 zhe4 li3 xia4 che1 ar?" Haha. After alighting, he smiled and said bye to me! =) Okay I must cool down. Feel like pouring ice water onto myself. Hahas. But I juz could not believe myself. Am I dreaming? LOLS. Okay stop stop, i too much le. XD So the last person( excluding my family members) I saw ytd night was him! Hahas. This pure coincidence defintely made my day =D
Okay let's talk about Sport Carnival today! It was tiring but fun! I was playing orienteering tgt with Ivy, Madeline, Elaine, Jia Ying and Marie as our grp leader. We played suduko at first and we were the last to finish :X. Ivy was like saying, "so diu1 lian4. Wo3 men2 zui4 hou4 lehx." She was saying that bcoz on our hse tee, it was printed with the word, SPEED on it. Hahas. so we said that for the orienteering we muz really chiong. So, the orienteering began. We were like running around with map and pens to answer the qns listed down on the paper. I did enjoy the process. Running up and down; laughing along the way when we did and said smth funny. Although we were sweating alot, like we juz finished bathing, we did enjoyed ourselves overall =). When we saw a couple taking their wedding photos in the botanic garden, the place we had our orienteering, Madeline said, " gai3 ci4 wo3 jie2 hun1 shi2, wo3 bu4 hui4 zai4 zhe4 li3 pai1 jie2 hun1 zao4. zhe4 li3 zhe4 meng4 re4!" LOLS. The rest of the grp members were like laughing and giggling at her words la. Yeahx! we finally completed all the qns and were heading back to the place we first gahtered. 1hr and 20 plus min! COOL! XD
Then we were like searching for cold drinks and we went to the touch rugby area there to support our CT mates. After that, everyone was like slacking and resting, waiting for the prize presentation. Bk wanted go home but since there was still around 10min to prize presentation, bk, sj and I decided to stay lohx. We went to the multi-purpose hall there to watch the teachers having a frisbee friendly competition! Wow, there was Mr Quek, Mr Jonathon Ng, some muscular PE teachers and others playing! Mr Quek was so qiang2 la. Caught the frisbee and hlped the team to win 2 pts. Mr Ng was also trying his best to get pts for his team...ahh my favourite geog teacher! Hahas. So only, Pegasus Vs Griffin nia. Shijie and I were expecting more XD So prize ceremony began...fast forward. After the whole Sport carnival, bk, shijie and I immediately rushed off to take bus. LOLS. Really fast sia. We were like the first 5 ppl leaving. LOLS. But we took the long way though. Haha so ppl who took short cut were in front of us le. Hehe. While waiting for the traffic to turn green, bus 153 and 165 drove past us. Gosh missed the bus. Woo, when we realised that 151 bus could go to hougang int.,we immediately chiong to catch the bus when the traffic turned green. So after that, home sweet home =D
Reach home> lunch> read Strait Times ( ahh my father so good.. bought it for me to improve my english=D)> when reading halfway, i dozed off :X. Okay so woke up, and decided to use computer and blogged until now.=)
